The Korean Knee Society Supports Research

Knee Surgery & Related Research is the official journal of the Korean Knee Society, who have agreed to cover the cost of the article-processing charges (APCs) for all manuscripts submitted before January 2022.

Professor and Chairman of Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, School of Medicine, Kyung Hee University and Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong, Seoul, Korea.

Prof. Kim qualified his M.D. and obtained Ph.D degree at School of Medicine, Kyung Hee University. His research focus is on the treatment of knee diseases and trauma. He specializes in total joint arthroplasty and osteotomy of lower extremity with various experiences. He is a national leadership representative of Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society(APAS), past chair of Asia Pacific Organization of Knee Arthroplasty(APOKA), and co-chair of Asia Knee Preservation Expert Group(AKPEG). He is also a member of board of directors for Korean Orthopaedic Association(KOA), Korean Knee Society(KKS), and Korean Fracture Society(KFS). Up to now, Prof Kim has published over a hundred of peer-reviewed international articles with valuable messages.

Aims and scope

Knee Surgery & Related Research covers all aspects of knee surgery relating to knee joint diseases, trauma and treatment as well as basic research with clinical relevance. Knee Surgery and Related Research is the official journal of the Korean Knee Society with affiliation of the Asian societies relating Knee joint; Thailand Hip and Knee Society, Taiwan Joint Reconstruction Society, Indonesian Hip and Knee Society, Malaysian Society for Hip and Knee Surgeons, Taiwan Arthroscopy and Knee Society, Indonesian Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy, Singapore Orthopaedic Association, and Adult Reconstruction Chapter of the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association. As an international journal publishing high-quality research articles and reviews, our aim is to provide emerging trends and new approaches to knee surgeons, imaging specialists, rehabilitation personnel, basic researchers, biomechanical engineers, materials scientists, and all those with an interest in knee surgery. Moreover, the journal strives to be the representative journal published in Asia in the field of knee surgery.
